Giacomo Ballari,  president of CEJA since 2005, young milk and honey producer from Northern Italy.

I took over my fathers dairy farm in 1998, and has since then diversified by adding bees for the organic production of honey that I am selling directly from the farm to be in direct contact with the market, the consumers. Recently, I have made a request for public support to make my farm more competitive, in terms of productivity and employment on the holding, as I wish to strengthen the contacts to the consumers even further, which I believe is the real partners for the futures of my agricultural enterprise.

I choose to add a new production to the farm activities when taken over. This experience has allowed me, in collaboration with the other partners from my region, to try immediately to respond even stronger to the request of the consumers for local quality products, and to be part of a real development project protecting the culture and the traditions from the territory which passes through the quality products
