Conference in Slovenia a great success!
In the end of
November 2007, a conference was organised by CEJA and ZSPM, the Slovenian
Rural Youth Organisation, in Dobrna, Slovenia to discuss the CAP Health
Check and the agricultural budget. Some 120 young farmers from across Europe
listened to speakers from the Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture, the Chamber
of Agriculture, the Directorates General Agriculture and Budget from the
European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Commissioner
for Agriculture and Rural Development. |

Mrs
Fischer Boel said that she always enjoyed being with young farmers and
that she was confident that CEJA would contribute to the discussion on
the Health Check in its normal, professional, forward-looking way
because: “when we talk about future, that’s CEJA!”
Responding to the latest communication by the European Commission, the
CEJA Presidium adopted an updated declaration on the Health Check. Its
main message: “We believe in a European agriculture that is vital,
innovative and modern. Consequently, we want a Common Agriculture Policy
that sets up a framework corresponding to a European model of
agriculture which encourages the development of agri-enterprises.”
