Activities with New member statesRelation with Young Farmer organisations of the new Member StatesCEJA has since the mid 90s been strongly involved in the enlargement process by trying to expand the constructive dialogue among young farmers all over Europe. To achieve this objective CEJA avtively support the creation or improvement of the young farmer organisations in the new Member States in particular thanks to the PHARE projects including team exchanges between future Member States and EU organisations and training session with EU experts. A second step consisted in strengthening the European network of young farmer organisations in particular gathering together young farmers from all over Europe in the framework of the CEJA Seminars to inform young farmer leaders and to include all young farmer organisations in the CEJA decision making process. Information and exchange of experience among Eastern young farmer organisations has been possible also thanks to actions undertaken by the TAIEXs Office. Furthermore CEJA contributed to enhance knowledge on the European Institutions organising group visits for Eastern young farmer organisations. Young farmer organisations: A priority for the future is to create an exchange programme targeted at European young farmers in order to multiply opportunity to share experiences and ideas using earlier experience obtained with the Exchange Programme of Young Farmers, PEJA under the overall intention of promoting best farming practice accross Europe. |
